SUN-SATIONAL

All is well that ends well. Two weeks of summer fun has come to an end. What can we say? It was sun-sational! <3

It's Splash Time

The last few days we spent as much time in the pool as we possibly could.

And even the princess of the pool needed some rest.

BFF

Natalie is not the only one who made a new friend. Melissa has a new best friend. The mannequin doll at the mini market. She loved to stop by for a little chat and a hug. Cute.

The Pool or Pool

Natalie made a new friend. Her name is Nikola. They enjoyed playing pool together at night.

A formula for fun......... just add water!

This is Melissa at her "computer". She used the poolside for a keyboard.

Poolin' around.....

Water you doing????

Havin' a Splashin' Good time!

Water Boy and Tiny Tuna......

The Glass Bottom Ferry

The ferry has a glass bottom allowing passengers to see the underwater life as it travels. The view wasn't too spectacular, but the boat stopped once during the ride from Mogan to Arguineguin to feed some fish. That was fun!

Excited to be on the boat. With the rocking back and forth, up and down, Melissa fell asleep just after a few minutes and the two of us were stuck under deck for the rest of the ride. Glenn and the two oldest went up on the deck and enjoyed the view and fresh breeze.

It was nice and warm! Especially when the boat docked at Puerto Rico and Anfi to let passengers off and on. But a nice cold beverage makes it a lot better!

The crew handed out suckers.
Red, green and yellow!

Puerto Mogan

Another Sunday and another Sunshine Getaway!
This time we went on a CrAzY bus ride to the small village Puerto Mogan. Where the white arrow is on the picture above, the turn was so sharp and steep, the bus driver made a complete stop and honked the horn really loud. It was a scary ride but we arrived safely. Thank goodness.

Channels between the marina and the fishing harbor, passing under arches in the buildings and between the port and the beach, has led to Puerto Mogan being dubbed the "La Venecia de Canarias" - the "Venice of the Canaries".

Did you know fish love potato chips? I didn't.

Puerto Mogan is the last stop for yachts crossing the Atlantic ocean over to the Bahamas.

At the old village.

We walked around and Glenn was intrigued by an old man who had rigged a stand with cardboard boxes and was hiding a miniature ball under hollowed potatoes. He was taking bets and Glenn helped out a German guy and was not allowed to play. Haha.

We stopped at one of the many restaurants along the promenade and had lunch. Glenn ordered a Canary Salad. Avocado and bananas. Hm.. Well, riding the bus back to Arguineguin was not very tempting as Natalie and I both got a little car sick. And since we were in boat heaven, we decided to ride the glass bottom ferry back to the resort.

We all scream for ice cream

The Lollo and Bernie Ice Cream Card! We went through 5 of them.

Senorita y Princesa

Natalie has taken an interest to hair and clothes lately. She is growing up to be a lovely young woman. For years she hasn't let me near her hair and gets upset when I tried to comb it. So it's a new world opening up. I have promised she would get her ears pierced when we go home. Glenn has always wanted her to wait untill she is 15. He doesn't get the jewelry thing (hence my very small colletion of bling). But I am overruling this one. I gave into movies and ratings. Now I am getting my revenge. :)

Natalie dressed up to go to the show at night and got autographs and her picture taken with the stars of the show.

Melissa didn't care much for the artists and family show. Much more fun to be at the playground.
