Can we play outside just a little bit more? Please???

Natalie has built stairs in the snow that are perfect for Melissa to maneuver around. I love the way Melissa says Hakkebett. Could easily be mistaken for hakkespett (bird) and not akebrett (sledge).

Terrible 2? I don't think so....

I am sure the tantrums will start at some point ~ but right now she is just the cutest, most adorable two year old there is........

Primary Activity Day

The girls invited their parents for a night of entertainment and refreshments. They had planned everything themselves and wanted to serve icecream with Oreos and Dajm. And chocolate chip cookies. Yummy! Then they had put together a program sharing their different talents. Natalie and her friend Victoria sang Families can be Together Forever. Such cute girls.

Lent buns

Annual post, I know..
But seriously this year's lent buns were the best ones ever. Did I tell you I LOVE our new Kenwood Major kitchen machine!!!!

Little friends

Sunshine! Nice. Can't wait to spend time gathering sunshine on our patio. Melissa and I made little mini snowmen and put them on display on the railings. :)

Some of them were even lucky enough to go for rides in Melissas pink cart....

Guess who?

Melissa and Natalie love board games. And lately Guess who, Buckaroo and Operation has been frequently found on the floor. Watch out so you don't step on it....

In love and war

A snowball fight is a physical game in which balls of snow are thrown with the intention of hitting somebody else. The game is similar to dodgeball in its major factors, though typically less organized. This activity is primarily played during months when there is sufficient snowfall. Wikipedia.org

Mamma Mø

This child is such a book worm. We recently moved her books into the shelves in the living room and she loves to read. More than her two siblings did when they were her age. Glenn just started to read to her when she is put to bed for the night and her favorites are Bukkene Bruse and Mamma Mø.

Captain Natalie

Glenn is flipping through his Star Trek dvd's again and Michael and Natalie like to watch some episodes with him. If you ask Melissa: Wanna watch Star Trek? She will say: NO! Natalie is doing her Captain Janeway pose. :)

Craving colors

The feeling of bringing the first bouquet of tulips always makes me smile. I love the colors and look forward to welcome spring. Glenn surprised me with these flowers as I was feeling a little down. It worked. It made me smile.

Pretty in pink

I just know I would have loved to have my own pink laptop growing up. Actually I guess I probably still would like one. Natalie likes to check her Facebook-account, design and write on her blog. Hm. Does that sound familiar? She has great writing skills.

I just can't wait to be king

Favorite indoor activity this week: Disney Singstar. Melissa asks Natalie every day to sing Simba with her.

Must have waffles

We bought a new double waffle iron this winter but there never seems to be any left overs no matter how many waffles we make... :)

The Flu Season

All three kids caught the flu in February. Lots of long nights with coughing medicine and fever. Melissa fell asleep during the day which doesn't happen often any more.

The girls keeping each other company...
Melissa is likes to do the 20x20 puzzles and can assemble some pieces now with a little practice.

And yet again you can find pastry on the pictures from this month. We have decided to cut down on the candy this year and make our own snacks. The kids have been such good sports and I haven't heard them complain or even ask for me to buy candy at the store. Saturday is baking day. Buns, pizza rolls, cinnamon rolls. You name it.

Mothers day

February is a nice month for mothers and wives in Norway as Mothers day and Valentines day are pretty close. I got a cute set of fabric hearts and a flower pot. I got the witch hazel from a church member. Love it! :)

With music, life is a celebration

You will rarely find Michael unplugged. He wears ear plugs or ear phones every day. And is generous enough to share with his sister. Here they are enjoying life. Glenn bought some rootbeer for Superbowl. His favorite team the Packers won this year. Yeah!

Food storage cabinet is FUN!

Look how tall towers I can build....

Oboy

Oh boy... Melissa has discovered the box of Oboy. :)
And what's in that other box right next to it? Nugatti?! I think I like it up here....

Chillin'

Stop every now and then. Just stop and enjoy. Take a deep breath. Relax and take in the abundance of life!
